HOLIDAY BREAK – PRACTICE TIMES & WORKOUT SHEETS
*Excite! is closed for regular practices & classes from December 21-January 3.
*Holiday Practices:
December 27th, January 2nd, January 3rd:
-Pre-team, Levels 1, 2, Bronze: 9:30-11:30
-Levels 3, 4, 5, Silver, Gold, Platinum & Optionals: 11:00-2:00
*Holiday practices are not mandatory and do not affect Gold Star if you’re not able to make it. We offer practice times over holiday closings for those who are in town and do encourage those who are in town to attend as we are nearing our meet season.
*Workout Sheets:
Athletes who complete the workout 4 or more times throughout the holiday break will get a sweet treat at practice when they return from break!
FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITY!
We are offering some open gym times for you to bring your friends to an open gym and get the profits! The gym will charge $10 to each person you bring and that will be added to your Excite! Account!

Step 2: When your friends arrive, tell them to write your athlete’s name down so we know where the credit needs to go.

HOLIDAY PARTIES
*Holiday parties will take place at each level’s last practice before the holiday break.
-Silver & Pre-team: Thursday, December 19th
-Levels 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, Gold and Platinum: Friday, December 20th
*Food allergies: We will be serving Shipley’s donuts with candy cane crumbles along with chocolate milk. If your child has food allergies to any of these items and you would like to bring a similar replacement for them, just email into gymnastics@ so we know what allergies your child has and send them with their replacement snack on the day of their party.
*Gift exchange: We will have a gift exchange with a $10 maximum. Athletes who do not bring a gift will not be able to participate in the gift exchange.
PARENT VOLUNTEER RESPONSIBILITY – REQUIRED!

-FINAL CHANCE TO SIGN UP - by December 22nd! Deadline to sign up for your volunteer spot was Wednesday, December 18th! Anyone who has not signed up for a spot by the deadline will be placed into a session. Reminder, there is a $150 fine for not showing up for your volunteer time!
GYM TEAM DOES NOT PERFORM AT THIS EVENT! (except pre-team)
*It is required for one parent from each family to help at this event, and there is a $150 fine for anyone who does not volunteer. If you have a pre-planned conflict, email into gymnastics@excitegym.com by Monday, November 4th.
*Athletes are not allowed to help their parents or sit with them at the event. We have 5-6 sessions of athletes and parents coming through, so there isn’t much extra space in the facility. Please plan accordingly!
*We will have a mandatory parent meeting on Friday, January 10th where we will go over parent responsibilities, expectations, and more.

*Important! We generally do not get the specific day/time that each level will compete until about 2 weeks before each event. Until we post specific times, it's important that you keep the whole weekend available. However, each level will only compete in one session on one day, which generally lasts 3-4 hours. Specific times for each level/meet will be posted on the hotline as soon as we receive the information.
3. BILLING
*State meet fees will be billed at the end of February. Amounts TBA.
4. DRESS CODE
*For dress code, you don’t have to wear a leo that is the specified color. If the color is yellow, but you don’t have a yellow leo, you can wear yellow shorts, a yellow headband, a yellow scrunchie, etc.
*It is mandatory that all gymnasts wear a leo to every practice. Hair must be neatly pulled back, secured out of their face. Tight fitting bar shorts or capris are allowed. Baggy pants and sweatshirts are not permitted.
